Evaluating the Child-Friendly Anti-Bullying Policy

Today, the School Council and Well-being Warriors met with Mrs McGee to evaluate our school's child-friendly Anti-Bullying Policy. The children all got to look at the child-friendly leaflet and they discussed what they liked about it and what we could do to improve it. The children thought the leaflet was child-friendly as it had pictures on and it was colourful. They had some brilliant ideas including putting signs outside on the playground. Thank you to the School Council team and the Well-being Warriors for you input!

Evaluating the Behaviour Policy

Today, the School Council and Wellbeing Warriors met with Mrs Williams, Miss Murphy and Mrs McGee to evaluate our school's Behaviour Policy. They all agreed that we need a behaviour policy and said they wouldn't like to attend a school where adults had different rules and the children did whatever they wanted. The children's opinions and suggestions were insightful and very varied with some useful suggestions for consideration to help improve our behaviour policy. The children finished off with some refreshments which were well earned! Well done to the children.

Tuesday 15th October 2019

This afternoon, the children met with Mrs Acid our school cook to decide on the school dinner menu for the next term. The children have previously looked at a PowerPoint about healthy eating within schools. We discussed what we needed to stay healthy and what would be a good choice for our school meals.

We hope you enjoy your new school dinners!

Friday 4th October 2019

Today, Mrs Mitchell and Miss Murphy met with the new school councillors for the 2019-2020 academic year. The children all introduced themselves by telling each other their names and which year group and class they are representing.

The school councillors all got a class agenda sheet which they had to fill out with their class teacher and their class peers. They were finding out what they liked about school and what we could improve within the school. As a group we went through each class agenda sheet and highlighted the key points.

The children are looking forward to working together and representing the school!
